PixelTheater
I created PixelTheater - a kind of maker org - for Why2025 in the Netherlands. It was set up as a village at the event where people could see how LED projects are built and make something of their own.

The custom sign made the tent easy to spot.
We set up a workbench with tools, LEDs, a 3d printer, custom PCBs and spare parts with space to work. People could stop in and ask questions, see how the hardware and animations were made, and try building something themselves.

Pixel Theater was the village; and PixelTheater is the open-source org for the projects. The shared topic is interactive LEDs and custom PCBs, with the firmware and tools to animate them. A few projects show the range:
- DodecaRGB — a 1,620-LED sculpture built from custom PCBs, with its animation framework in the DodecaRGB firmware repository.
- RGB Message Block — chainable 5 × 7 LED modules; each block displays four characters.
- Mini-Clock RGB — a seven-segment RGB clock built from stackable boards, with example firmware for ESPHome.
- ESP Candle — a tea-candle-sized LED light, with its demo firmware. Oh, available for order!
The PixelTheater org at GitHub is where the code and designs live. The Why2025 village page has the camp details.
